For this month, I'm interrupting my series on the components of fitness to encourage everyone to get a cue!
A client told me recently how this one tip has made the greatest impact in his overall health and fitness. In order to integrate exercise more easily into his daily life, I had recommended he attach a cue to his fitness activities. For example, he could contract his abdominals at every red light while he's driving, or he could do a plank during every commercial he sees. In this way he's able to incorporate activity into his life with far less effort and planning. Over time, he's seen his fitness improve, and he's been encouraged to persevere in his health pursuits because it's become so much more simple and automatic.
