Have Secondary Goals - November 2021

Secondary goals are those more particular goals and activities that lead to the accomplishment of a primary goal. Identifying secondary goals gives more specificity and incentive to the primary goal. Here is an example:

Primary Goal:

  • Improved health and fitness

Secondary Goals:

  • Strength train three times per week
  • Walk a mile every day
  • Swim for 30 minutes twice per week

It's clear from this example that accomplishing the secondary goals will result in the primary goal being achieved.
