It is estimated that nearly 10% of the American population has diabetes, and that it is the seventh leading cause of death. I was asked once if I have known of anyone who was able to stop taking insulin as a result of lifestyle changes. While I was unable to say that I have, I do have terrific testimonies of pre-diabetic clients who are staving off diabetes through better diet and exercise choices.
One particular client recently determined to eat as healthy of a diet as possible, walk daily, and maintain his training routine. In less than a month, he lost 10 lb and saw almost a full point drop in the test number that indicates diabetes. This is incredible! For those of you in a similar situation I hope his success story will inspire you to change, knowing that your diet and exercise choices have tremendous impact on your health.
