Don't Gain Weight With Age - September 2015

There are two main reasons, from a diet and exercise standpoint, that we gain weight as we age. First, our metabolism naturally slows as we get older. To offset this, we need to decrease the number of calories we eat. That could be as simple as replacing unhealthy foods with healthier ones, or limiting splurges like caramel macchiatos for example. Second, due to health issues, injuries, or lifestyle changes we sometimes become less active as we get older. To overcome this obstacle, find ways to work around injuries and other issues in order to keep exercising as much as possible.
