Sunscreen Use - August 2015

For many people, putting on sunscreen is an automatic part of their daily skincare routine. This is a great habit since sun exposure increases the risk of developing cancer. One drawback to wearing it when exercising is that sweating can cause it to drip into the eyes. By wearing a lighter application on the forehead, or a cap with a brim, this problem can be eliminated. Here is one big reason not to wear sunscreen: getting about 15 minutes of unfiltered sunlight daily helps ensure we have enough Vitamin D. So how do you get only 15 minutes of your workout without sunscreen, and the rest with it? Break up your workouts! Do one short outdoor workout without sunscreen, and any additional workouts with it.
