Want to get started on your own walking program? Walking is an excellent form of aerobic exercise. It conditions the lungs, heart and other muscles, is low impact, and improves bone density. Developing a consistent walking program is something most everyone can benefit from. As an avid walker or someone just beginning a walking program, it is important to have good form and progress at an appropriate rate.
