A Calorie Budget is one of the simplest budgets to make. Knowing your daily caloric needs you simply subtract from that amount the calories in the foods you eat and drink throughout the day. As you go through the day you can adjust meal sizes to stay within your total calorie allotment. For example, starting with 1500 calories per day, you would subtract 400 for today's breakfast, and then 200 for a snack, 400 for lunch, and so forth. By the end of the day you should have 0 calories remaining. Your calorie allotment can be adjusted to meet your specific goal of gaining, losing or maintaining weight.
