Fit Tip #59

Cook On Days Off - November 2018

Cooking

Another key to maintaining a healthy diet is to put some time into food preparation. Weekends and days off are a good time to do a little meal planning and prep work. These days provide time to make foods that can be eaten during the upcoming week. For example, while making breakfast Saturday morning, put a pot of water on and hard-boil some eggs. The eggs will make handy little protein snacks throughout the next week. Making a double or triple batch of oatmeal on your day off is another way to have food ready when it's needed. Give some thought to what foods you like, and what you could prepare in advance to make your diet healthier and easier to maintain.
