Usually most people I talk with in December and January are setting goals for the year. They are striving to start their new year well, and continue toward some specific resolutions. This year has been different. Only a few people I know have even mentioned any type of resolution or shift in their goals from the previous year. I'm wondering why that is. Have people given up on making resolutions because they know that they are rarely adhered to or achieved? Possibly it is because people are simply realizing that their own goals and priorities are ongoing aspects of their personal growth, rather than things inspired by the new calendar year. Whatever the reason, I want to encourage everyone to continue to improve their health this year, and for the rest of their lives!
