Keeping our mouths clean and healthy benefits our overall health in many ways. Brushing teeth regularly helps reduce inflammation as well as harmful bacteria that produce bad breath, tooth decay, and gum disease. One time that a tooth brushing is probably overlooked by most people is at night. Who thinks about their teeth when they're up in the middle of the night to grab a snack? Clean teeth probably aren't on the mind of most midnight snackers, but they should be.
