Do a Little Leg Extension- July 2020

The quadriceps muscles (quads) are the large group of muscles on the front of the thigh. They are crucial to maintaining good knee movement and health. Here is a little exercise that goes a long way in strengthening the quads, and thereby the knees:

Leg Extensions

Start by sitting with good posture so your thighs are supported on the chair and your knees are bent 90 degrees. Slowly straighten one leg, by squeezing the quads, and hold this straight-leg position for a couple seconds. Slowly lower the leg to return to the starting position then repeat. Repeat the exercise with the other leg.

Do a dozen reps with each leg every day or two and this easy little exercise will add up to stronger knees and legs.
